**MOMO NEEDS A FOSTER HOME ASAP, posted 6/4/09! ** Hi my name is Momo, I'm back in the Husky House rescue as of mid-June '09. I'm approx. 2 years young. I really need to find my forever home. I would not do well with cats or very small dogs. **I'd probably be great as the only dog.** No small children either because of my size, I'm about 80 lbs. I can be possessive of something I find say on the counter, so I need some training with that. A northern breed experienced home would be best for me. You probably wonder why me name is Momo...My foster mom’s favorite childhood movie is called Momo and it’s about an orphan girl named Momo that is trying to make it in this scary world. I came up here from a shelter in Georgia. I was scheduled to be gassed, but luckily the Husky House decided to bring me up to New Jersey and saved me hours before I was supposed to be put down. Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience or have researched the breed thoroughly. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
