Capone

Adult Male American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

Hardcore For Pits

Meet Capone! Capone is an affectionate dog with a gentle personality. He forms strong bonds with his people and loves spending time with them. He’s happiest relaxing with his family, getting affection, or chasing the ball. He enjoys structured playing and appreciates having that as an outlet for both his mind and body. Capone is socialized with other dogs and has done well around cats, showing no signs of reactivity toward them. Around new people, he can be a little reserved at first and prefers to investigate them on his own terms before getting attention. Capone is sensitive around food, so it’s recommended that he be fed separately from animals and given space while eating and allow him to earn your trust while being out around you eating. Capone responds well to commands including sit, down, heel, place, stay, and leave it. He understands structure and routine and thrives when expectations are clear and consistent. For grooming and handling, Capone does well during baths and is generally easy to work with. He is somewhat sensitive about having his paws handled. Capone would do best in a calm home with owners who understand that not every dog enjoys immediate interaction from strangers. He may grumble if he feels uncomfortable or pressured. Respecting his boundaries, and continuing to build positive experiences will help him be successful. Overall, Capone is a sweet guy who enjoys a lifestyle of relaxation, play, and time with the people he loves. He has all the qualities to be an awesome lifelong companion. Interested in adopting Capone? Please fill out an application today!

John

Adult Male American Pit Bull Terrier

Hardcore For Pits
Meet John! John is a 73# lap x velcro dog cross who’s currently living his best life with his foster mama. He truly embodies the drake lyric, “I only love my bed and my mama” except, he’s not sorry. While John may be the sweetest boy, who just wants to give & receive love his story could have ended much differently. Originally born into a home for breeding, & profitable purposes where he was constantly told to cap his emotions has left him confused. The fact that they didn’t want him to react to things that confuse or upset him has been proven to be the root of his anxiety which is maintained with once daily medications. Thanks to Hardcore4pits, & his foster mama, John is on the road to the good life.

John really is a big mush who loves his people, and dogs. He’s currently living with 3 other pups, one of which is his bestie for the restie. With leashed introductions he’s ready to play hard, or ignore other pups depending on their demeanors and agendas. John’s BIG emotions make him unsuitable for children, or cats. John loves being outside, basking in the sun with his people & pups, while enjoying a woof pupsicle, or Barkbox super chewer toy! He’s a fast learner who’s willing to be your ride or die through it all. Interested in adopting John? Fill out an application today!

He's now become friends with several of our volunteers and loves going for car rides and getting hash browns and bacon at the Dunkin drive through. He's also attended local concerts and is friendly to people who love dogs and pet him respectfully.  His ideal adopter is probably a couple or single person. That person is someone who loves him and spoils him for the fluffy white dog he is. Or, it's someone who loves taking him on adventures. In either case, Maverick will need to respect that person's presence and authority. He is a proud alpha dog, and would gladly stand up for you if the need ever came. He would not do well in a home with children. Maverick has sadly been here over 3 years! Will you be the one Maverick chooses for his forever home? Interested in adopting Maverick? Lizzie

Adult Female Siberian Husky

Meet Lizzie! Lizzie is a female husky who was surrendered from her previous owner to a shelter and was then pulled by Husky House. She enjoys playing and being pet by volunteers and is good with other dogs her size. She also knows the Sit command! Lizzie does have some resource guarding of food in her kennel and would do best with an adoptive family who is willing to help her work on this. She would also do best in a family without young kids due to resource guarding. Interested in adopting Lizzie? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application.

Archie

Adult Male Pomeranian

Meet Archie! Archie is a male Pomeranian who was rescued from being found left in a dumpster. Now safe at Husky House, Archie is looking for his loving forever home. Unfortunately, Archie has had a few seizures since arriving at Husky House, so he takes medication twice daily to help manage them. Poor Archie is very nervous around people, which is understandable given his history. He does not go out of his way to snap, but may growl or get snappy when people do not respect his boundaries (e.g. try to pick him up when he is uncomfortable). Archie does well with other small dogs. He has never been cat tested but would be expected to do well with cats as he is small and not overly playful. Interested in adopting Archie? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application.

Senior Male Siberian Husky

In Loving Memory of Azul, 2011-2025
Azul was truly one-of-a-kind—the "OG Badass" of HH who held a special place in all of our hearts. To honor his legacy, please consider a donation to Azul’s Memorial Fund. Your support helps us provide high-quality, lifelong care for our permanent residents, just as we did for our beloved Azul. Click here to donate today!

Azul was one of those New York City Street kids, just a year-old pup when he was saved by Husky House. Azul is very smart and picks his humans to love. He is a large, handsome boy with a strong personality. He will need an experienced owner who is patient and will provide him with the training he needs to be the best he can be. Azul would do best in an adult home (no children). Previous large dog experience a must to be considered for adoption. Please no homes with cats or small animals. So, if you are that special someone that will be picked by Azul to love, if you think that you understand a guy who had to live out on the streets and is more cautious until he trusts you, then please apply to adopt Azul at www.huskyhouse.org

Winter

Adult Female Siberian Husky

Meet Winter! Winter is a female husky looking for her loving forever home. She was brought to a county shelter by individuals who reported they “found” her, but upon further research they actually appeared to be her previous owners. They drove poor Winter to the shelter in the back of a hot U-Haul in the heat of the summer, and volunteers found her traumatized and cowering in the back of the vehicle. Winter was then pulled by Husky House and although she arrived very traumatized, she is starting to become more comfortable and is letting her true personality shine through. Winter is a happy, energetic dog who loves affection and playtimes, especially fetch! She also likes to play in the yard with her doggy friend Peppa. Winter has never been tested with small dogs or cats. Interested in adopting Winter? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application.

Young Female Pomeranian / Siberian Husky

Meet Willow! Willow is a pomsky puppy who is looking for her loving forever home. She was saved from a puppy mill along with her two littermates, and like many puppy mill survivors, is fearful of people but shows no aggression despite her fear. Willow is great with other dogs and needs a home with at least one well-adjusted dog to help her gain confidence and learn “how to dog.” Willow is learning to walk on leash would do best in a home with a very secure, fenced-in yard that she cannot escape from (e.g. no small holes under the fence that could be crawled through).
