Sika - ADOPT PEND

Adult Female Siberian Husky / Mixed

Sika is a pretty 2-3 year old female siberian husky. Dilute black & white with blue eyes. She is very, very sweet, likes to talk and loves to cuddle! She was surrendered by her former owners to the city kill shelter after she was hit by a car. :( They wanted her put to sleep because they couldnt afford surgery to repair her fractured leg. She weighs approximately 45 lbs. Sika has since had surgery on her leg 7/23 and is now recovering well. She needs crate rest till Sept 11 at which time she'll be re-xrayed to make sure the leg healed correctly. She is in need of a foster home and is currently in West Paterson NJ. Sika walks well on leash and knows the 'sit command. She's a good passenger in the car as well. Check back for more info as we get to know her better. Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. *Adopters MUST be at least 25 yrs old and reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do homevisits prior to the pup going to its new home. *We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. *We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment.
