Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. *Adopters MUST be at least 25 yrs old and reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do homevisits prior to the pup going to its new home. *We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. *We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall. Adoptions Application Smokey is a 10 month old intact male siberian husky. He was bought in a petstore by a teenage girl whose Mom became unhappy with how big he grew. So she put him out in the yard for the last 3 months. The Mom just found out she is expecting a new baby and now doesnt want Smokey there at all. He was then given to a friend to watch. This friend will foster him for a week or two but cannot keep him. He is black, grey and white with blue eyes. Dont know how much he weighs yet. He is up to date on shots. I'm told he is extremely friendly, does not bark and howls at a very low tone when left completely alone. He would need to learn how to walk on a leash. He knows the 'sit' command. I'm told he is mouthy and jumps up on people....NO big surprise as he is a puppy who obviously had no one to teach him what is allowed. It is unknown how he is with children, cats or dogs at this writing. Check back for a photo. He will be neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested prior to adoption. Posted 5/13/06
