Nikki-ADOPTED

Young Female Siberian Husky / Mixed

This pet is no longer available for adoption.

Nikki is an appx 9-11 month old red and white female siberian husky. She is a red and white. Open mask/white face with a faint brown stripe down her nose. Blue eyes (one eye has a tiny sliver of brown) and a liver nose. 44 lbs. She was initially found as a filthy stray in Brooklyn. Couple A - took her home and after 2 wks she escaped their low fence in the yard. Couple B picked her up and contacted Couple A saying they found the dog. Couple A did not want dog back. She is currently in a foster home in Staten Island . She has a nice temperment I'm told. Is good with the other female dog she is temporarily living with. She's met several children on the street and was fine with them petting her. She also is fine with adult strangers. Wants to chase cats and squirrels. A bit excited when walking on leash but settles down after a couple of blocks. She didnt appear housebroken at first but has made progress in 2 weeks. She goes to the door to indicate she wants to go out in yard and then lets you know when she wants to come in. Loves rawhide chews. Doesnt jump on the furniture. Digs holes in yard. Nikki will be spayed, microchipped, vaccinated prior to adoption. Adoption application, references, homevisit, contract, donation apply. Serious adopters in downstate NY or central or north NJ please.
