Meet Hero. This pretty boy had a pretty rough start in life. Hero ended up at a shelter in NC with a horribly embedded collar that had to be surgically removed. You can see in the photo how the wound is healing. Even after the collar was removed nobody wanted him and he was sitting in this horrible shelter for weeks and weeks. His time was up and he was suppose to be gassed the next day. Husky House could not stand the thought of this boy being gassed after all the neglect and abuse so we went ahead an pulled him. After we pulled him we found out he was heartworm positive. Thankfully he is still young (about 1 year old) so we started his treatment right away and he is now recovering nicely. He has finished his heartworm treatment and is all better now. He can sometimes be a little selective with what other dogs he wants to be friends with. He loves half of the dogs he is currently living with and doesn't care about the other half. He is amazing with people and a really good boy that would love to finally find a real family that will not neglect and abuse him. Please consider adopting our boy Hero. We promise you won't regret it :) ADOPTION FEE: $300. He will be neutered, up-to-date on his shoots and microchipped. Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Matawan, NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. NO EXCEPTIONS. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. Online Adoption Application Website:
