Buddy Carl - Cat friendly

Young Male Yellow Labrador Retriever

This pet is no longer available for adoption.

Meet Buddy. This poor guy must have gone through hell and back. He is incredibly shy and because of how shy he is we think something really horrible happened to him before he come to the Husky House. He is the sweetest boy that is good with anybody including other dogs and cats. We think he is a purebred Yellow Lab, about 1-2 years old. He is just incredibly shy and all he wants to do is hide. Now that he has been with us for a few months he is starting to come out of his hiding spot but only when people are around that he trusts. On top of all that we just found out that poor Carl is Heartworm positive :( It is absolutely no problem as long as it's being treated. Once he is treated he will be a healthy pup. Buddy will need an owner with a lot of patience. Someone that is willing to give him the time to settle in and realize that he is in a safe place. Someone who doesn't care if it will take him a week or 6 months to come out of his shell. Someone that wants to show Buddy how great life is without pushing him. Someone that will not get frustrated with him. Someone that is ok with a really really mellow dog that just wants to hang out with you once he trusts you. ADOPTION FEE: His adoption fee is $300 and he is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his shoots. ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - no exceptions! Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Matawan, NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. NO EXCEPTIONS. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. Online Adoption Application Website: http://www.huskyhouse.org
