MEET MILLY! Her name means gentle strength. She is about 1-2 years old and about 30lb. This young little mom was scared to death sitting in a shelter with her 10 babies in NC. First they dumped 4 of her babies in the pound and the next day they came back to not only dump her but also the rest of her babies. Luckily Husky House heard about them and as you know we never leave anybody behind so we packed up Mom and her 10 pups and brought them to NJ. We think Milly was abused by a male before coming to the Husky House. She is very shy at first when she meets people. She especially seams scared of men. She has already come a long way in the time she has been with us. She went from staying in the back of her kennel scared of anybody that walked by to now being the first at the kennel door wagging her tail saying hi to everybody. The temporary foster home she stayed at prior to coming to NJ had 3 kids, a dog and a cat. She is not a big fan of the cat. Even though she was ok with the kids in her temporary foster home we think she would do best in a family without kids. Milly is a sweet, mellow and gentle creature and we think she would do best in a family that is patient, understands that she will need time to trust people especially men again, show her what love and trust is and not rush her into things. A home where she can be the center of attention for once in her life. That said based on the great progress she has made in just a few weeks we think that with the right parents she will bloom and show the world what a great dog she is in no time. ADOPTION FEE is $300 and I will be spayed, dewormed, microchipped and up-to-date on all my shoots. ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - no exceptions! Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
