Meet Ellie! Ellie is a husky/shepherd mix who initially came to Husky House all the way from Texas, along with a litter of puppies that have all been adopted. Ellie was initially adopted but was recently surrendered back to husky house after unexpectedly snapping at a houseguest. Unfortunately, the family was not willing to work with a trainer or see their vet to address these concerns or determine potential causes. Ellie was undergoing heartworm treatment at the time, and it is not known if this contributed to her snapping. It is possible that Ellie may become protective of her family once settled in a home and may need to be crated or kept in a separate room when visitors are present. Ellie is a very sweet and loyal girl who loves long walks and belly rubs. She is excellent with other dogs her size, but has not been tested with small dogs, cats, or other small animals. Interested in adopting Elle?
