Adult Male Siberian Husky

This pet is no longer available for adoption.

Meet Axel! Axel is a male husky who was found roaming the streets of Staten Island with an untreated Perianal mass that ruptured and became infected. His previous owner that he ran away from was recently convicted of multiple accounts of animal cruelty. Husky House took Axel to see a specialist and receive the surgery he needed, which was an invasive procedure but allowed Axel to heal without suffering any issues with pooping. Husky House is still raising funds to pay off the remaining costs of his treatment. The surgery went well, and Axel is receiving follow up care. Now safe at husky house, Axel is looking for his loving forever home. He is a bit nervous in his kennel and sometimes snaps at new people, but is sweet and gentle in the yard. He even knows Sit and Paw! Axel is good with other dogs his size, but due to an instinctual prey drive he would not do well in a home with small dogs or cats. Axel also loves to chat, and therefore would not do well in a townhome or apartment.
