This pet is no longer available for adoption.
**COME & MEET ME this Sunday, 9/5 at an adoption event at the Petco in Kinnelon, NJ, from noon-4PM check the Events TAB for all the info.**
Meet Gibbs (aka Jake) he is now (9-4-2010) about 12 week old mix breed puppy. He arrived at husky house on August 14th with 2 broken back legs and unable to walk. He was thrown out of a car onto the highway in a garbage bag w/ his litter mates, 2 died and 1 girl pup was ok BUT poor Gibbs was left with 2 broken back legs. A rescue came for his sister but wouldn't help him. He sat hurt and in a cage at a vets office for over a week. Husky House had a few huskies getting ready to leave for transport from there & we couldn't leave him behind!
It is now September 4 and Gibbs is doing great! He is walking/running thanks to water therapy (he swims great) and 3 weeks of crate rest. His doctor has released him from crate rest and HE IS ALL PUPPYâ¦. He plays hard and crashes hardâ¦lol⦠He needs to learn some puppy manners and we are working on house breaking. He is crate trained. Loves to be around other dogs and children, has not been around cats but I think he would just try to play with them. He has lots of pent up energy from being in a crate for over a month. Loves to give puppy kisses and will nibble at your ears as his snuggles into your neck.
Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area.
The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old.
You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home.
We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience.
We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
