Young Female Siberian Husky / Mixed

She is a petite girl with blue eyes. She was taken in as a heartworm-positive stray at the Albany Humane Society in Southwest Georgia. She is doing very well now, she prefers male dogs over females. Storm is a big goofball, very energetic and active. She would do well with an active family that wants a companion for jogging or hiking, and she would enjoy the company of other dogs. She gets along very well with my two dogs (one male and one female), but may not do well with another dominant female. She is an escape artist and will need a securely fenced yard. Storm likes to talk and sing with you. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. I have not tested her with the cat yet. Storm stands quietly and patiently for baths and really enjoys being dried off with a towel. She likes being brushed, and will roll over so you can brush her belly. She is friendly and outgoing, and has greeted everyone she's met with smiles and tail wagging. She walks well on a leash and is learning "sit" and "lie down." Storm goes potty as soon as she gets outside, and has had no accidents in the house. She is lots of fun to play with and loves to hop on the couch with us. Storm has completed her Heartworm treatment & has been spayed,updated on shots & will be microchipped Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
