Momo

Young Female Alaskan Malamute / Mixed

This pet is no longer available for adoption.

Hi my name is Momo and I’m the sweetest Malamute girl you will ever meet. I was adopted out and just recently returned on 1/10/09. I am pretty good with other dogs, I lived with a male Siberian and am fostering with an older male Siberian. I do like to play though, so a young Sibe would be ideal to run around with. I need to go to a home without young kids, probably 13 and over is fine. An Alaskan Malamute experienced home probably would be best. You probably wonder why me name is Momo...My foster mom’s favorite childhood movie is called Momo and it’s about an orphan girl named Momo that is trying to make it in this scary world. I came up here from a shelter in Georgia. I was scheduled to be gassed, but luckily the Husky House decided to bring me up to New Jersey and saved me hours before I was supposed to be put down. The Shelter said that I’m 1 1/2 years old. Even though I’m just a baby myself, my old owner just used me for breeding and then when they were done with me they dumped me at the shelter and left me there to die. Now let me tell you a little more about myself. I’m the biggest snuggle bug you will ever meet. Even though I’m about 80lb my favorite place is on your lab. I follow my foster mom everywhere, I could miss out on cuddlies if I don’t. I love giving kisses and they are nice and wet :) I love to ride in cars and go for walk. Believe it or not I’m really really good on the leash....no pulling nothing :) Other than that I just love curl up next to you on the couch, by your feet, on the bed....pretty much anywhere as long as I’m as close as possible to you. I would be a great match for someone that is looking for a fun hiking or mountain biking partner, that is not afraid to drown in puppy love. I have some possession of "stuff" issues, not so much food, just like to counter surf (HE-HE). Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience or have researched the breed thoroughly. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
