Baby Female Siberian Husky / Mixed

Zena is a white Siberian husky puppy (DOB 8-4-08) with blue eyes. Zena has special needs; we believe that she has megaesophagus (to learn more, see www.caninemegaesophagus.org). She will be arriving at Husky House on January 16th at which time she will be evaluated to determine the extent of her special needs and care. Husky House is seeking a long term foster (who can also potentially be her adoptive family once she is medically stable and spayed) that resides within the NJ/NYC area and is willing to drive her to either Yonkers, NY or Tinton Falls, NJ for regular medical care. Her foster and adoptive family must be extremely attentive and willing to take on her special needs, as well as have the financial resources to care for her. Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ/Philadelphia/Bucks County, PA area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience or have researched the breed thoroughly. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
