Monkey

Young Male Siberian Husky / Mixed

This pet is no longer available for adoption.

Monkey is a rescue from Rhode Island. He was hit by a car and needed surgery to set his leg into place. Because he did not have a home, he did not get the needed medical attention until a month after the break, so he is undergoing a long recovery now, but the good news is that his recovery should be full! Monkey is just that--he is somewhat undisciplined, so he will need some training (and he is getting that in his new foster home, posted 12/18/08), but he is a big love and very playful. He is about 1 year old, black and white with bright blue eyes. He is a gorgeous boy who is searching for his forever home. Please note, that at this time, Husky House does not adopt out of the immediate NY/NJ/Philadelphia/Bucks County, PA area. The minimum age for adopters is 23 years old. You must reside within a one hour drive from either NYC or from Bridgewater NJ. We DO NOT do long distance adoptions because we do home visits prior to the pup going to its new home. We do not adopt out Siberian puppies (under 1 year of age) unless you have prior Siberian experience or have researched the breed thoroughly. We DO NOT place in homes that rely on the invisible/electric fence as the sole means of containment. If your yard is fenced in - your fence must be at least 5 feet tall.
